Our first return to the Surabaya Factory after COVID
Our SIMEXA team, composed of Manuel Stanislas and Mounir Finan, returned for the first time since the end of the COVID epidemic to the Indonesian factory that manufactures most of our furniture.
It is with pleasure that we found the teams responsible for the production of our outdoor furniture. Many innovations have been added to an already very modern factory: New machines allow us to produce even more resistant outdoor furniture, with more complex designs, with a perfect finish. Several ISO standard test tools have also been installed to guarantee quality, precision and safety.
That’s what we do in the Factory
- Cutting and Sawing: Once the raw materials are selected, they are cut to size using saws and other cutting equipment. Proper safety measures are taken during this process.
- Joinery: Joinery is the process of connecting different parts of the furniture together, such as the legs to the frame, the drawers to the cabinet, or the back panel to the frame. It’s essential that the joints are strong, durable, and able to withstand the stresses of use.
- Sanding and Finishing: After the furniture is assembled, it must be sanded to remove rough edges and provide a smooth surface for finishing. The finishing process involves applying paint, stain, or varnish to the surface of the furniture to enhance its appearance and protect it from wear and tear.
- Quality Control: ISO Quality control is an essential aspect of furniture manufacturing. Each piece of furniture should be inspected to ensure that it meets the required standards of quality and safety.
